The Farmer’s Feed, Visit York County, and York County Economic Development Expand Partnership Under Make It York County Initiative

The Farmer’s Feed, Visit York County, and York County Economic Development announced today the continuation and expansion of their partnership in 2026, aligning agritourism storytelling and economic development under the countywide Make It York County brand initiative.

Building on several years of collaboration between The Farmer’s Feed and Visit York County, the expanded partnership brings York County Economic Development into a unified storytelling effort that highlights agriculture as both a visitor experience and a vital economic driver. The initiative will showcase local farms, farmers, chefs, and food businesses through coordinated digital storytelling and content shared throughout the year.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to connecting tourism, business, and community through a cohesive narrative that positions York County as a place to visit, live, work, and invest.

“Agriculture has always been at the heart of York County’s identity, but it is also a powerful economic story,” said Caroline Lewis, Founder and CEO of The Farmer’s Feed. “By aligning agritourism storytelling with economic development under the Make It York County umbrella, we are showing the full picture of how farms, food, and small businesses create opportunity, support jobs, and shape the quality of life that makes York County special.”

In 2026, the partnership will focus on year-round storytelling that elevates agriculture, culinary innovation, and local entrepreneurship, while creating engaging content that supports both tourism promotion and economic development goals.
“Tourism, business, and community are deeply connected, and this expanded partnership brings those elements together in a meaningful way,” said Andy Clinton, President of Visit York County. “The Farmer’s Feed has helped us tell authentic stories about our farms and food scene, and through Make It York County, we are excited to elevate those stories as part of a broader narrative about why York County is such a compelling destination.”
The Make It York County initiative, launched in 2025 by Visit York County, the York County Regional Chamber, and York County Economic Development, is designed to showcase the region’s vibrancy, economic strength, and quality of life through aligned messaging and shared resources.

“Economic development today is about more than business recruitment — it’s about building places where people want to live, work, and invest,” said Mitch Miller, Director of York County Economic Development. “Through Make It York County, this partnership aligns agritourism storytelling with our broader economic development strategy, recognizing farmers as entrepreneurs, agriculture as an industry, and local food and agritourism as critical quality-of-life assets that strengthen our workforce, support small businesses, and drive long-term growth.

Content produced through the partnership will be shared across Visit York County, York County Economic Development, and The Farmer’s Feed digital platforms, creating a strong library of storytelling that supports tourism promotion, business development, and community pride.
