In 2014 the Lash Group, a subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen, and LPL Financial announced the relocation of their respective corporate headquarters and east coast operations to Kingsley in Fort Mill. Combined, over 5,000 jobs were announced, validating York County as a prime location in the Charlotte region for corporate back office and headquarter operations. Today both LPL and the Lash Group have moved into their new Fort Mill homes and are already planning significant expansions.

USC Darla Moore School of BusinessUniversity of South Carolina is a public university with an enrollment of roughly 35,000 and a 4-year graduation rate of 58%. The Moore School is best known for its outstanding leadership in international business education and research. It offers programs in accounting, economics, finance, international business, and more. There are currently 5,315 undergraduate and 734 postgraduate students enrolled in the Moore School alone. Its undergraduate major in international business and international master of business administration programs have both been ranked No. 1. It houses research centers including the Riegel & Emory Human Resource Center, the Center for Global Supply Chain and Process Management, and the Moore School’s Division of Research. It is the only educational institution in the southeast to serve as a Center for International Business and Education Research.
USC is approximately 1.5 hours from York County.
USC Lancaster is a public university. It offers associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and pre-baccalaureate fields of study to be completed elsewhere. Among business options, it offers an Associate in Science in Business, Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership, and pre-business administration fields of study which include accounting, business economics, and so forth. USC Lancaster has a total enrollment of 1,640 students.

York Tech shares an Associate Degree Nursing Program with USC Lancaster. It offers an AAS in nursing, gen tech-nursing (ADN and Practical), and a DAS in nursing.
UNCC Belk College of Business
UNC Charlotte is North Carolina's urban research university. Located in the state's largest metropolitan area, UNC Charlotte is among the fastest growing universities in the UNC System. The Belk College offers degrees in accounting, finance, economics, management, and more. It includes the Robert A. Niblock Student Center for Professional Development and the Women in Business Initiative. UNCC has a total enrollment of 29,615 and a 4-year graduation rate of 26%.
