The award was presented jointly by York County Economic Development and the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce at the York County Regional Chamber's annual business awards celebration, recognizing SouthWood's outstanding contributions to the manufacturing sector and the community. SouthWood Corporation, a 53-year-old sign company based in Rock Hill, designs, manufactures, and installs signage for a wide range of companies and organizations in the U.S. and abroad. The company is known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service, as well as its strong leadership and ethical business practices.

Under the leadership of President and CEO John Petrone, a decorated Marine veteran, the company has quadrupled its revenue in the past seven years and expanded its workforce by 27 percent.
